Welcome to Carroll County, Maryland, national background screening platform. This is an ANNUAL requirement for any adult, age 18 and older, having direct control or custody of children. Examples include Head Coach and Assistant Coach. You are not required to complete this application if you have already been fingerprinted by the Department. Please only submit this application once per year, as it is valid for all area recreation councils and their programs. If you have any questions regarding the need to complete this background check, please contact Lisa Carroll with the Department of Recreation and Parks at 410-386-2103 or your program coordinator.

Volunteering is a privilege, not a right, and your gift of volunteering can be denied at any time. Please attach a copy of a selfie, without sunglasses for your ID Badge. Once approved to volunteer, an ID badge will be mailed to the address on your application. Arrangements to pick up your ID badge can be made by calling the Department at 410-386-2103 or emailing ccrecvolunteer@carrollcountymd.gov. You are required to wear the ID badge when volunteering. You will only be notified if additional information is needed or are disqualified.
